The Dance Place Policies

1.  Registration

There is a $45.00 registration fee for the 1st student; $35 for additional(s) within a household.  Upon registration, it is understood that enrollment into The Dance Place is for the entire year, August through May.  Dancers age 2 to adult are eligible to participate

2.  Payment & Tuition

Tuition is due the 1st class on every month.  A $10.00 late fee will be assessed for tuition not paid by the 5th of each month.   If tuition is not paid by the end of the month, the student will not be allowed to return to class(es) until tuition is current.  Cash, Checks, Visa, and Master Cards

3.  Attire Policy

Female Requirements

Ballet, Tap, Pre-Toe/Pointe Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics
2 Year Olds Solid Pink Leotard/Footless Tights
Pre K-K Solid Pink Leotard/Tan Tights Any of the prescribed attire on the left and including:
Two-Piece Dancewear
Dance/Jazz Pants
Dance Crop Tops
Jazz Shoes – Solid Black Split-Sole
Hip Hop Sneakers – Solid Black Split-Sole
Acrobatic Shoes – Solid White Reebok
Classic Tennis Shoes
1st – 4th Grade Solid Maroon Leotard/Tan Tights
5th & Up Solid Black Leotard/Black Tights
All Groups Tan Ballet Shoes/Tan Tape Shoes
Pointe Pointe Shoes by Instructor Approval
  • -Please refrain from torn tights.  Required tights can be purchased at desk for $6-$12
  • -Appropriate dance shoe must always be worn
  • -No bare legs, no t-shirts, no shorts, no ballet skirts, no jewelry
  • -Hair must be secured off face

Male Requirements

-White round neck t-shirt, black or navy shorts or sweats, and the appropriate dance shoes.

4.  Attendance Policy

Dancers should be present for all lessons/classes for which they are enrolled. The studio should receive prior notification in the event of absences.

5.  Tardiness

Dancers should arrive to the studio dressed and at least 5 minutes prior to their class time to ensure admittance as their scheduled class begins.

6. Lobby Etiquette

THE LOBBY IS DESIGNED AS A SAFE HAVEN FOR DANCERS TO WAIT QUIETLY ON HIS/HER RIDE HOME. IN THE LOBBY, THE PARENT MAY PAY FEES AT THE RECEPTION DESK OR DROP FEES OFF INTO TUITION DROP BOX. It is imperative that the parent walk dancers who are 8 years and younger into the lobby and assist them with class preparation. Parents may drop dancers off and return to pick them up at the designated time that class ends. Parents of dancers who are left at The Dance Place 15 minutes or more beyond the length of his/her enrolled class time will be assessed a $15.00 late pick-up charge for child care.

7.  Recital and Costume

Each student is required to purchase the appropriate costume for each dance class. Costumes are ordered mid-year with the approximate cost being $70-$100 per costume.
